Boating In Europe: Belgium

You'll find Belgium's network of rivers and canals an ideal location for your next holiday afloat.

Easy to travel to

Being one of our closest neighbours, Belgium is easy to travel to. Your starting base at Nieuwpoort is about one hour's drive from Calais.

Situated just inland from Belgium's delightful coastline, Nieuwpoort is an oasis in the Polder landscape, set in the centre of an area which has been inspirational for countless artists.

It will stun you with its sweeping landscapes and rich natural areas of outstanding beauty.

Stylish Gent is a wonderful place to visit with many churches and medieval castles and Gent is internationally renowned for its excellent restaurants. If you're not interested in art or history you'll find much beauty on the rivers and canals with few long stretches between charming little towns and villages. On a coastal cruise you can meander amongst the Polder landscape visiting Dunkerque, or venture inland to Ypres, well known for its battles in the First World War.
